On my new website there’s an option to have differently-facing thumbnails, you know–opposable thumbs. It’s an option that would drive most people bananas but I think that it’s not a trivial or fake adjustment: if you’re going to go real, a change like that is highly appropriate. I’d rather harangue a tanning salon owner about panini than use a site that wasn’t convenient. Plus, on a well thought-out site, I never have to find a missing link.
